Introduction

We are off to.... is our Blog to allow family, friends, and others that are interested to follow us on our extended RV travels.

We aren't full time RVers but like to take extended trips of a month or more as often as we can. We prefer public agency campgrounds like State and National Parks, US Forest Service, etc. We do use some RV Parks if they are the closest or most convenient place to things we want to see or do.

We will attempt to provide information on the various campgrounds we stay in, things to do in the area, and pictures of what we see.

Heading South

NOTE: If you bookmark this siteglelin-travels1.blogspot.com it will always take you to the latest/current post.

We are off this time to Joshua Tree National Park, Valley of Fire State Park, NV and Zion National Park.  Day trips to Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks National Parks are a possibility.

Where next?  It depends on the bloom at Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve.  If it looks like there will be a decent bloom we will go there.  If not and the weather is good we may go up the east side of the Sierras with a stop in Death Valley or Lone Pine.  If it is a poor bloom and the weather is bad over the Sierra passes we will just take a couple of days going home via the Central Valley.

This is a short trip but with it and another two week trip in June, we should be ready for the 3-4 month trip we have planned to the east and south at the end of July.
