Introduction

We are off to.... is our Blog to allow family, friends, and others that are interested to follow us on our extended RV travels.

We aren't full time RVers but like to take extended trips of a month or more as often as we can. We prefer public agency campgrounds like State and National Parks, US Forest Service, etc. We do use some RV Parks if they are the closest or most convenient place to things we want to see or do.

We will attempt to provide information on the various campgrounds we stay in, things to do in the area, and pictures of what we see.

Arrived at Cape Lookout (Update)

On our way up passing Mt. Shasta neither of us could remember ever seeing it so bare. There was only traces of snow in some of the ravines.  The drought has certainly taken it's toll. Lake Shasta was also very low.

Sunday night we stopped at Seven Feathers RV Resort in Canyonville, OR.  It is across I-5 from the Seven Feathers Casino and Hotel.  It is a very nice RV park and the rates are very reasonable.  We took the park shuttle to the Casino and had dinner at the buffet.  They have a wide selection of foods and everything we had was good.  Then it was back to the trailer for awhile before hitting the sack.

Today we stopped in Albany, OR to have lunch with a friend and his wife that once was my customer.  I have been retired for over 17 years but still keep in touch with the customers that became friends.  The people I dealt with was what I liked the most about selling.  Of course traveling and seeing what was around the next corner or over the next hill was special too.

After lunch we proceeded to Cape Lookout State Park and met the nice couple that bought our previous trailer.  They came down from Olympia, WA and pulled in just ahead of us.  We both got our trailers set up and then it was off to Roseanna's, a little restaurant on the water in Oceanside, OR a few miles north of the park.  We enjoyed the meal and especially getting to know them.

The reason we wanted to camp and get to know them better is they followed our trip around the US blog and provide recommendations on places to see, restaurants etc.  Their recommendations were quite helpful on our trip.

Sorry, no pictures yet but tomorrow we will be on the beach and trails and should get some pictures to share.
