We began
travel on May 27th traveling north through California, Oregon, and
Washington. After arriving in Washington we spent a week visiting our
daughter's family (5 grandchildren) which consisted of attending several of the
kids softball games. It was fun to see the improvement from last
year. We also were able to see a lot of the farming operations that our son-in-law manages. The best was spending time with all of them.
This greenhouse has 30,000 apple trees and with another 6000 trees from another of their greenhouses they will be used to plant 30 acres into various varieties of apples this fall. These are all rootstock which will have various varieties grafted on them once they reach the desired size. They will also grow trees to sell to other farmers.
We had a
mishap that prevents us from posting pictures until later. The screen on
Linda's iPhone got shattered and we can't get it fixed until we can make it to Spokane from Clarkston, WA where we willl be on the 19th. It is the closest Apple store that does same day screen replacements. That
won't be until the 21st or 22nd if all goes well.
Our campsite at Wallowa Lake
The RV Park backs up to the Wallowa River which is down a bank behind our site. The sound of the rushing water makes perfect background for camping.
Rain is forecast for Saturday and snow for Saturday night and Sunday. We will see what we actually get and hope the forecast is wrong. Doesn't matter too much as it is pretty anyway.
