Introduction

We are off to.... is our Blog to allow family, friends, and others that are interested to follow us on our extended RV travels.

We aren't full time RVers but like to take extended trips of a month or more as often as we can. We prefer public agency campgrounds like State and National Parks, US Forest Service, etc. We do use some RV Parks if they are the closest or most convenient place to things we want to see or do.

We will attempt to provide information on the various campgrounds we stay in, things to do in the area, and pictures of what we see.

June 9th, Cape Disappointment SP, WA

Sunday morning we woke to beautiful clear blue skies and mild temps. We began with a hike out to the North Head Lighthouse. There is a loop trail going in two directions; one through the forest and the other to the old lighthouse keeper's path from their quarters.

Views around, and of the North Head Lighthouse.

One of the two lighthouse keeper's homes. They are now rented out to vacationers.

Next we drove south to the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center near the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse.
Trail views to and of the Center.

Cape Disappointment Lighthouse and views from it.

Tonight after dinner we will walk the beach to the south. That should get us up to 3-4 miles of walking today.

Tomorrow (Monday) we move again to Sequim Bay State Park, in Sequim, WA where we will stay until Friday. Olympic Park, especially Hurricane Ridge and also Port Townsend are just two things on our agenda.

  1. Jealous! Enjoy your visit. Maybe see some of the elk herd. If you get to Port Gamble, Linda, there is a new quilt shop there in a small renovated stable or barn. Hope you have nice weather. Love, Myrna
